Power Query Editor ek tool hai jo Power BI ke andar data ko clean, transform, aur prepare karne ke liye use hota hai. Ye ek tarah ka data preprocessing tool hai jo raw data ko analyze karne aur visualize karne ke liye ready karta hai.
Power Query Editor ka use kyun hota hai?
- Data Cleaning: Jaise extra rows/columns ko remove karna, blank cells ko handle karna, aur spelling mistakes ko fix karna.
- Data Transformation: Columns ko split/join karna, data type (e.g., text, number, date) change karna, aur calculations add karna.
- Data Merge & Append: Alag-alag tables ya data sources ko combine karna.
- Automation: Ek baar jo steps apply karte ho, Power Query unko automatically save karta hai, toh baar-baar karne ki zarurat nahi hoti.
Power Query Editor ka Interface:
- Ribbon: Upar options hote hain jaise Home, Transform, Add Column.
- Queries Pane: Left side mein saare queries (data tables) listed hote hain.
- Data Preview: Center mein data dikhta hai jo abhi transform ho raha hai.
- Applied Steps: Right side mein jo bhi steps aap apply karte ho, wo dikhte hain (Undo karne ke liye helpful).
Power Query Editor mein kaise kaam karein?
- Data Import karo: Excel, CSV, Database, ya kisi aur source se data load karo.
- Transformations Apply karo:
- Unnecessary columns ko hatao.
- Data ko filter karo.
- Columns ko rename ya reorder karo.
- Query ko Load karo: Jab data ready ho jaye, “Close & Apply” button dabao aur Power BI mein use karo.
Example:
Agar tumhare paas ek Excel file hai jisme sales ka data hai, aur usme extra columns ya galat data hai, to Power Query Editor se tum:
- Extra columns ko remove kar sakte ho.
- Galat dates ko fix kar sakte ho.
- Data ko sort aur filter kar sakte ho.
Iske baad data Power BI ke visualization ke liye ready ho jata hai.
